research
Through graduate studies, I developed and refined valuable skills and theoretical knowledge in order to advance pharmacy practice.
Pursuing graduate studies allowed me to build an area of expertise in systems and implementation science, which can then be applied in future studies. Prior to attending graduate school, my research focus was very practice-based. Through rigorous coursework at Auburn, I gained in-depth knowledge and understanding of health outcomes research methodology, statistics, and social and behavioral theories. I also assisted in several funded research studies as a graduate research assistant, including qualitative studies of patients’ perceptions of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, and an educational intervention to improve pharmacists’ knowledge of substance misuse in Alabama and promote interprofessional collaboration. Using the skills gained through coursework and real-world experiences, I am confident that I will be a productive leader and team member in health services research.
