Teaching

I hope to use my creativity and innovativeness to advance pharmacy education.

I am excited by the prospect of my career as a teacher and mentor to PharmD and PhD/MS students. I greatly enjoy mentoring students and would like to continue to do so in my career.  While in pharmacy school, I served as a mentor for younger pharmacy students, and also participated in many outreach projects with high school and elementary school children. To prepare for my future career, I have taken classes on evidence-based teaching in STEM and preparing future faculty, which have helped me to appreciate and understand the responsibilities of college faculty.  In my work as a graduate research assistant, I have had the opportunity to train and mentor pharmacy students, and I would love to continue my role as a teacher/mentor as part of a career in academia.
